Tour of the Orleans Island and Zodiac
OUR FAVORITE STOPOVER!
Orleans Island is a love at first sight. Five kilometers from Quebec City, the island delimits the St. Lawrence River and its estuary. Nowadays, the Orleans Island is the most significant historical representation of Quebec. Navigate around the Orleans Island coast and discover its architecture, its history and the legacy of its charming coastal villages.
Make a stopover at this natural setting where maritime history of this region took its part within the Fillion’s maritime shipyard. Chalouperie Godbout, known as a historical monument, welcomes you. A guide will take you through the particularities of wooden boat construction, back in the historical context of water cars. Be ready to be swayed by the rhythm of the winds and tides through activities of maritime nature: workshops on marine’s wood and knots.
